There was a time error in the last email. The Yoga retreat begins at 11 AM not 9 AM. I'm so sorry for not catching that.
Less than hours until retreat time and we are beyond excited to have you all as our guests. Thank you and we hope you are equally committed to showing up for yourself and each other. We have been working very hard on all of the details and want to deliver the most beautiful experience for everyone. What to bring: don't forget your lunch:),plenty of water, journal, pen, yoga mat and 2 yoga blocks and a blanket (to possibly sit on outside during journaling and lunch) . I have

Save Yoga On The Beach
Dear friends and community - I NEED YOUR HELP TO SAVE LO'S BEACH YOGA - PLEASE read in the entirety. The past week has brought a whirlwind of emotion and frustration, and I want to share openly with you what is happening and how I am responding to it. My initial reaction was anger, then meeting restriction with equal resistance. But as intense as that response was, I knew it wasn’t aligned with how I want to live, lead, or practice. It also isn’t what I’ve been training m

What do YOU want?
What I Thought Was Leadership Training Became a Homecoming Last week, I took a three-day course called Heartcore Leadership. Like anyone would assume, I signed up thinking it would be about leadership. You know, communication skills. Organization. Maybe some corporate-style tools I could apply to my work and daily life. That’s not what I got. What I got was something far more raw. This wasn’t about leading others. It was about learning how to lead myself. It was about letting

When the moment is quietly saying Now
We wait for clarity. We wait for confidence. We wait for the moment when everything lines up and feels safe. And in the meantime, we call it patience when it’s really procrastination dressed in better language. I’ve learned this the hard way. Inspiration rarely arrives with fireworks. More often, it shows up as a quiet nudge, an idea you can’t shake, a thought that keeps returning, a pull toward something that doesn’t yet make sense. The problem isn’t that we don’t recognize

Who am I becoming through this?
Dharma Talk What does it mean to become whole and in harmony? Is it to feel open, spacious, to move with purpose? People and experiences come into our lives for reasons, a divine reason even. Symbolic currents are a part of my dialogue with my spiritual side. They are a way I hope to remember what truly matters. At work this past week, I found a silver ring every day. When I found the second one, I thought it was the same ring reappearing in different rooms, but no, I colle

Heart to Throat
Housekeeping: Please set up as you arrive on the beach closer to the Turtle Club. We can't set up in front of the condominium directly and block their enterance path to the beach. We can only share this beach space for the morning as long as we stick to the rules. If you do set up to close to the entrance of the condo you will be asked to move more north on the beach. Kindly help us out! Thanks.

As the world speeds up this week, where in your body are you being asked to slow down?
As you rest here and take a minute to think about the upcoming week. This week invites more doing, showing up, more hurrying. This past week on the beach, we walked up for class and found this heart made of roses exactly where we practice yoga. Exactly where we had our Full Moon Cerermony with roses last week. Syncronicity, God wink, vortex, what ever you want to call it, but it's so magical and beautiful. Whom ever got engaged congratulations and thank you for sharing you

Stop making strength the only language you speak. Build support with TVA.
We often feel the pressure to appear strong, to hold ourselves together even when everything inside feels like it’s breaking. This strength is not just a mental or emotional state, it’s something we physically carry, often in the tightness of our abdomen. In yoga and many healing traditions, the belly is seen as the place where unspoken emotions go to hide. When we suppress feelings like grief, resentment, sadness, or fear, our bodies respond in ways that can affect our healt

Love & It's Placement - Upcoming Beach Updates
Understanding Love and its placement is a profound idea that goes beyond simple emotion; it involves a conscious decision about where we direct our focus and energy. This deliberate approach to love can shape our experiences and relationships, leading us to deeper connections and understanding. Hate shows up when we refuse to see within. If a person cannot sit with their own shadow, they unconsciously hand it to someone else. The moment they cast themselves as pure, or righ

Lower Back 🙏SI Joint ❤️
SI Joint & Lower Back Relief When the low back whispers, it is the body asking for steadiness and space. Yoga becomes the bridge, lengthening what grips, waking what sleeps, and aligning the pelvis. With each pose, imagine your sacrum gliding freely. The sacrum is the triangular bone at the base of your spine that fits between the two sides of your pelvis (the ilia). The sacrum and the pelvis meet at the SI joints — tiny joints that don’t move much, but easily get inflamed. T

A truth I've been scared to name. Lo's teaching yoga Sunday.
Lo's subbing for Alex Sunday Nov 9 and Jen is back on Thursday's with Strong Yoga I challenge you to put your habits out in the open, look at them with kind eyes. Are they helping you grow, or are they hiding something in the shadows? Some people (but not us, wink wink) use yoga to push themselves too hard. Some people, but not us, use "healthy" living to escape the joy of living. Some people, but not us, stay in the familiar instead of saying yes to whats new and whats ca

To Heal is to Remember Wholeness
This week marks an exciting change in our class schedule with the addition of Thursday's Yoga Strong with Jennifer, giving everyone a chance to enjoy even more beach yoga activities. Jennifer covered for me along with Sheila when I was out for 3 months at the end of last season. I'm happy to give her a warm welcome to our yoga tribe with a permanent class. Many of you reached out to me and expressed how much you loved the challenge she offered to your practice; her style was

Showing up with resistance or with grace
We are receiving universal truth and guidance if we quiet our own minds. Try to listen with your heart not your ego. Take a deep breath and allow yourself to flow into your highest self. Make time to pray and heal, to align, embody your growth.... Pause now and take a few moments. I'm experiencing the opportunity to share what I feel with many more people than before in unexpected corners of life. We all have avenues that we experience more growth, mine is in mindful mov
