1/2 Way Into 2026

Summer marks a special time for many families. It’s not just about warm weather and vacations; it’s a moment to pause and reflect on the year so far. We can deepen family connections and inspire reflection on the halfway point of 2026.

Summer is the halfway mark of the year, a natural checkpoint for many people’s New Year’s resolutions. By July, some goals feel within reach, while others may need renewed focus. Traveling with family during this time offers a chance to step away from daily routines and reflect on progress together. I've prioritized family since the last day of school and my personal development.

We had an epic journey to Europe this summer with my parents, sister and her family, and my family. Of the many places we journeyed through, we visited both regions of my ancestry: Puglia, my mom's side, and Reggio Calabria on my dad's side. This was the first time my husband and kids got to visit my dad's hometown. This was very special and important to me. I felt like I was traveling through time, bending time, compressing generations of experiences and life into a few short days. I'm very happy to be home. I was away from my routine for 3 weeks and I missed my routine, which means YOGA!!! I did yoga the first week but the last 2 weeks we walked an average of 20,000 steps so physical yoga did not happen and my meditation fell off too. I did journal every day and take time for spiritual prayer/reading. Now I get to recommit and I'm ready.

Sheila is back as well. She had a wonderful retreat in Greece and we have been trying to connect in person. It will happen soon and I'm excited to share when we do.

See you on the beach soon!

Faithfully,

Laura Grabinski
