It takes effort to fall asleep! What gives?

ree

Each night we close our eyes in an effort to let go of the past. It's an effort to let go, what a contradiction. You know how hard it is to fall asleep, then how about falling back asleep when you wake up. That is even harder. What gives?

We replay what we could have done better or what we will do better on an endless cycle of repetition. That takes up so much energy and creates more resistance to what could be. I struggle about being an imposter on a daily in my own life, in my efforts. Often I am repeating what someone has already said. But by shedding these layers of petty ego, self-criticism and subconscious memories we can be in more alignment and peace. Can you imagine shedding that thick layer of skin, that hoarding of substance and memory? If you did shed it, what would you be left with and what would you look like? Then what if you shed another layer, the layer of the will or life force that drives you, sometimes too much. What would you be left with then?

Keep going, imaging shedding your minds thoughts and patterns created by the outer world. Now close your eyes and imagine.

Another layer yet to shed, this is the mind beyond the working mind. Here is where you become aware of the moment. You are an observer. What if you could be brave enough to let go here?

Finally you are left with pure Bliss. Anandamaya Kosha

This is where the final veil is lifted and you are no longer. You aren't your job, your roles, your personality is gone, your life unconnected life memories vanish. You are in complete unity with all possibilities and the cosmos. This is what I have previously wrote about during my recent health voyage. I believe I knew I would get there before it happened. Did I imagine it up, sure its possible because all things are, but Deep Dive into the Upanishads, Scripture and Philosophy it echoes exactly what I experienced and find challenging to put into words. I'm Lo. That's all I've know, but on that day I was so much more. Imagine dropping everything you know about you and the world and that is what pure essence is. Pure Peace, Understanding, Love, Joy and Bliss. Maybe you have gone through this in your own experience, I'd love to talk to you, please email me or call. 239-877-1293. losyoga@losyoga.com

Is there interest in this topic?

The Upanishads explain when every trace of individuality disappears, we are in moksha, samadhi, ananda. It is like we are awake in a dreamless state. The most expansive state that cannot be reduced further. This is something we can achieve is deep meditation or Savasana. This is the spiritual path I choose and hope to teach. The human experience seeks adventure and this spiritual yoga path is beautiful! Deep inhale, smile and let go of that heavy exhale.

Love and Light.

Lo
