5 Ways to Heal Yourself and to Stay in Love

 

1.   Connection is Medicine:  The longest -running study from Harvard Medical School found one clear truth:  The #1 predictor of long-term health and happiness isn’t diet, exercise, money, it’s relationships.

Sardinians are recognized as one of the places with unusually high numbers of people living to 100 as sited by the Blue Zones foundations.  Their tricks: The eat together, walk together, work together and stay close to their families.  

2.   Train your mind to Choose: Last year I had the gift of brain surgery. 

I don’t want to say this lightly, it was life threatening and most confronting experience of my life. I chose to believe there was something here for me, not just something happening to me.  I trusted that God was going to meet me in that space.  He did he showed me how connected we truly are, he told me the surgery was indeed a gift to wake up to my divine gifts of love and to expand my capacity to help others heal.  To choose to heal.

 

3.   Your breath is intimate: 

There is a song that says breathe out so that I can breathe you in.  To put a mantra to it.  Breathe out to offer - breathe in to receive.  Let’s try that 3 times. 

How did that feel? 

Which was easier for you?  Was it easier to inhale and receive or exhale to offer?

Most of us are good at doing but not practiced at receiving.    I don’t want to feel selfish right?  For healing to happen we allow both to flow effortlessly.  Some one told me yesterday don’t Block your Blessings.  Inhale a little longer taken in the energy. Exhale and share it back….

 

4.    Move your body to Move your energy: 

Imagine this you’ve been sitting in a conference for hours, or it’s Sunday and your on the couch.  Stagnation starts to build.  I invite you to circle your neck out, now your shoulders, now your arms, do you dare stand.  Take some steps, Dance.  Strike a yoga pose.  30 seconds. 

Gottchya!  I bet your smiling.  That is a blessing.  That is the magic.  When I invite people to practice balancing in yoga its much more than strength and coordination, it’s about stepping into the moment, the connection of now, in flow, with slow steady breath.

 

5.   Let go of who you were make space for who you’re becoming.

Where are my controllers or risk takers?  Where are my analyzers and rule followers?  Supporters or Mother Thereasa ?  My Promoters the life of the party people?  

 

I am a controlling promoter. I love being joyful and sharing joy, and because I’m having so much fun I procrastinate.  I actually finished preparing for this an hour ago.   I want to be in charge, I’m not in love with teamwork because I think I can do it better and faster alone.    

 

“If you want to go fast, go alone.  If you want to go farther go together.”  This is where we are today. Supporting eachother on how to not suck at money how not to suck at healing.  To talk to the people near you and make a connection.
