What You Need to Know
Stay informed about the Vanderbilt Beach refurbishments and how they might affect our classes. Classes will continue as usual, with minor adjustments.
What to expect
Some areas may have discolored water and rough conditions. Sand is being actively pushed to fill in washouts from the recent storms.
The emergency project is expected to be finished by mid-January 2025, with crews working 6 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Important considerations
Stay out of closed areas: Do not go into closed areas to avoid getting in the way of the construction crew and to stay safe.
Be cautious: There may be alternating entrances for beach access. Stay on the marked sidewalk entrance and follow the barricades.
Yoga class adjustments: We may have to adjust where we meet depending on if they are working north or south of Vanderbilt Beach entrance.
Teachers will have speakers just in case it's louder than expected.
We go through this every year to maintain the coastline from erosion from storms. It is a necessary part of living on the coast and we have made due as needed. This year Pelican Bay Park is under construction as well, but luckily there has not been any noticeable Red Tide.
Next week we will put out our November calendar and I'd love to get feedback about what specific classes you would like to see more of. Keep those suggestions coming, we appreciate any ideas of how we can improve the experiene. Jen is coming back for Yoga Strong beginning in November on Thursday's.
