"To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead, you relax and float."
Allan Watts

This past week, I've felt like I'm moving through thick resistance-like everything I do meets some kind of pushback. The weeks resistance feels like the universe is asking, "Are you sure?" I'm not sure if I'm pushing through what's meant to grow me, or forcing what's meant to let go. Truth usually lives somewhere in between. Usually resistance shows us where we need to soften. SO I'm softening, as I usually need to do. Ugh..... My daughter is my mirror in so many ways and my oh my, did she come out this weekend to show me! My work schedule is having me Yield, as I have feared it would. I'm having to change from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.
I have been outside in the flowerbeds 2 days in a row pulling out weeds and decaying Zennia flowers that have been flourishing until the past couple of weeks. Anytime I am stressed I seem to get back into the dirt and start digging, pulling, weeding, replanting. It happens religiously. I've definetly noticed the pattern and I'm positive I write about it often. The consistent, repetitive action of watering, pruning and re-seeding creates a calming structure that helps me let go as I get into a flow. So as I type here with my cuticles stained in dirt I must return to this endless circle of the rising sun and the truth speakers, family.
I've learned that all critisism is good. It doesn't meen it's true, but if it makes you stop and think about your behaviorhor, it is productive. This week I am planning to listen more to whats spoken and the unspoken. I am not going to try and grab and fight water but soften into the turning tides. I will spend more time on self-growth and not control things I know I have spoken enough about.
I will flow. I will flow with the class, I will flow with yoga, I will nourish my garden, I will slow down and listen. I hope you all can find some time for you too.
Love always, Lo
